Much Ado About Nothing 2026 plays at the Globe Theatre. This new production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing centres on Beatrice and Benedick, whose attraction grows in a world shaped by sharp tongues, gossip and fragile reputations.

The war is over, but the conflict has shifted into matters of love, image and second chances. Set in Messina, the story follows secrets slipping out, people saving face badly, and a polished social world where late-night parties run into dawn.

Chelsea Walker directs. Her previous work at the Globe includes All’s Well That Ends Well at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse. This production presents one of Shakespeare’s most incisive romantic comedies through a story of bad behaviour, old wounds and recovering from them.
