Much Ado About Nothing 2026 is a new production of Shakespeare’s comedy at the Globe Theatre. The play centres on Beatrice and Benedick, whose sharp exchanges and reluctant attraction play out against a backdrop of gossip, secrets and damaged reputations in Messina.
Set in a world of style and status, the production follows a group of characters trying to save face while late-night parties spill into the early hours. It is directed by Chelsea Walker, whose Globe work includes All’s Well That Ends Well at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse.
Presented as one of Shakespeare’s most incisive romantic comedies, it looks at bad behaviour, second chances and the lingering effects of old wounds.
