About Globe Theatre Tours 2026

Globe Theatre Tours 2026 at Shakespeare’s Globe is part of Shakespeare’s Globe Story & Tour. It combines a guided visit inside the Globe Theatre with self-guided time in a brand-new, walk-through exhibition space, giving visitors a clear look at Shakespeare’s London, the theatre’s stagecraft and its history.

In the exhibition space, you can move through more than 400 years of history, revisit iconic shows through seasonally curated displays, and explore interactive costumes and props. In the theatre itself, expert guides explain the story of the original 1599 building, including its survival through plague, fire and political oppression, and its return in the 1990s.

All tours are in English and suitable for all ages. Information sheets are available in a number of languages, and Shakespeare’s Globe is an open-air theatre, so tours go ahead in all conditions.

Key facts: Approximate duration is 2 hours, including a 50 minute guided tour and self-guided time in the exhibition space.
