About Globe Theatre Tours 2026

Globe Theatre Tours 2026 at Shakespeare’s Globe forms part of Shakespeare’s Globe Story & Tour. It takes you into the Globe Theatre itself and through a new walk-through exhibition space that explores more than 400 years of Shakespeare’s London and the history of the theatre.

The exhibition includes seasonally curated displays, while the tour inside the theatre focuses on the building’s craftsmanship and the story of the original 1599 theatre, including how it survived the plague, fire and political oppression before being rebuilt in the 1990s.

Visitors can also use interactive costumes and props to get a sense of stagecraft and the world of performance at the Globe.

Duration: Approximately 2 hours, including a 50 minute guided tour and self-guided time in the exhibition space.

Before you book

All tours are in English and suitable for all ages. Information sheets are available in a number of languages. As the theatre is open-air, tours go ahead in all conditions, so dress for the weather. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
