About

About Globe Theatre Tours 2026

Globe Theatre Tours 2026 at Shakespeare’s Globe offers a guided visit through the Globe Theatre and the Shakespeare’s Globe Story & Tour. The experience combines a 50 minute guided tour with self-guided time in the exhibition space, where you can explore over 400 years of history through sights, sounds and displays.

Inside the walk-through exhibition, seasonally curated displays look back at some of the theatre’s most notable shows, while interactive costumes and props give visitors the chance to step into the world of the stage. The guided part of the tour explains the story of the original 1599 theatre, including how it survived plague, fire and political oppression before being rebuilt in the 1990s.

The tour also highlights the craftsmanship of the theatre’s wooden ‘O’ and the scale of the audience it once held, bringing the building’s history into clear focus for visitors.

Duration: Approximately 2 hours, including a 50 minute guided tour and self-guided time in the exhibition space. Tours are in English and suitable for all ages; information sheets are available in a number of languages.
