Love's Labours Lost 26 is a flamenco-inspired production of Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost. Set in Navarre, it follows four women on a diplomatic mission and the King and his lords as vows are tested by love, desire and wit.
In her Globe Theatre directing debut, Associate Artist Indiana Lown-Collins brings the warmth and vibrancy of her rural Spanish roots to the play. She is a former Globe Resident Artist and a JMK Award winner for The Solid Life of Sugar Water at Orange Tree Theatre.
The production is presented as a raw, human comedy where rhythm, romantic tension, joy and revelry sit alongside longing, grief and melancholy. It is described as a rarely staged play that leaves love unresolved.
Key facts: This Summer production is flamenco-inspired, set in Navarre, and directed for the Globe by Indiana Lown-Collins.
