About

About Globe Theatre Tours 2026

Globe Theatre Tours 2026 at Shakespeare’s Globe is part of Shakespeare’s Globe Story & Tour, combining a guided tour of the Globe Theatre with time in the exhibition space. It offers a close look at the theatre’s stagecraft, its wooden ‘O’, and the history behind one of London’s best-known performance spaces.

The walk-through exhibition space explores more than 400 years of Shakespeare’s London through sights, sounds and historical detail. You can also see seasonally curated displays, and try interactive costumes and props before heading into the theatre itself with an expert Guide.

The tour explains how the original 1599 theatre survived the plague, fire and political oppression, and how it returned in the 1990s.

Duration: Approximately 2 hours, including a 50 minute guided tour and self-guided time in the exhibition space. Language: All tours are in English. Ages: Suitable for all ages.
