A Midsummer Night's Dream 26S at the Globe Theatre is a vibrant new production of Shakespeare’s comedy. It is set on the eve of a royal wedding, when a company of amateur performers prepares a play for the occasion and a group of lovers moves through a moonlit forest in search of desire and connection.
As the story enters a fairy realm, playful spirits, spells that go awry and a series of surprising transformations bring chaos and wonder to the Globe under starry summer skies. By dawn, everyone has been changed.
