The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre, Coventry Street, London is a musical by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park. It tells the story of two Salt Lake City Mormons sent as missionaries to Uganda, where their plans for baptisms and conversions meet harsh realities and a warlord.
The production won four Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical. Its music is by Robert Lopez, and the show combines comedy, singing and dancing with material that is described as rude, potentially offensive and unexpectedly endearing.
The show has been widely seen as a major West End success and explores subjects including religion and consumerism.
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes including interval.
This production contains strobe lighting, flashing lights, gunshots and explicit language. Children under 16 must be accompanied by and sat next to a ticket-holder aged at least 18. Children under 3 will not be admitted. Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre.
Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase. Food or drink bought elsewhere may not be brought into the theatre. Seating plans are not accurate representations of the auditorium, and customers with specific requirements should discuss these with the theatre before booking.
