The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theatre, London, is a musical comedy by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, with music by Robert Lopez. Winner of four Olivier Awards® including Best New Musical, it follows two Salt Lake City Mormons sent as missionaries to Uganda, where their plans for baptisms and conversions meet harsh realities and a local warlord.
The show mixes satire, religion and consumerism, with a storyline that is explicitly comic and deliberately rude. It remains popular in the West End and is known for its bold language and subject matter.
Running time: 2 hours 30 minutes including interval.
This production contains strobe lighting, flashing lights, gunshots and explicit language. Children under 3 will not be admitted. Everyone, regardless of age, must have their own ticket to enter the theatre. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a ticketholder aged 18 or over and seated next to them.
