About Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Moulin Rouge! The Musical at Piccadilly Theatre, London brings Baz Luhrmann’s film to the stage in a new musical mash-up extravaganza. It is set in a world of splendour and romance, with Bohemians and aristocrats meeting in a story built around Truth, Beauty, Freedom and, above all, Love.

The production is directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers, with a book by Tony Award® winner John Logan, music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Tony Award® winner Justin Levine, and choreography by Tony Award® winner Sonya Tayeh.

The show presents itself as a theatrical celebration of the film’s style and energy, bringing its story to life on stage in a remixed format.

Running time: 2 hours 45 minutes including interval. Age guidance: suitable for ages 12 and older.

Before you book

This production uses strobe lighting. The show is suitable for ages 12 and older.

For matinees, the venue opens 90 minutes before start time. For evening performances, the venue opens 105 minutes before start time. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time, as latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point.
