About Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre, London is a stage musical based on Baz Luhrmann’s film. Set in a world where bohemians and aristocrats mix, it centres on the themes of Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love.

The production is directed by Tony Award® winner Alex Timbers, with a book by Tony Award® winner John Logan, music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Tony Award® winner Justin Levine, and choreography by Tony Award® winner Sonya Tayeh. It presents the film in a new musical format for the stage.

The show combines romance, spectacle and music in a theatrical production that brings the story to life on stage.

Duration: 2 hours 45 minutes including interval. Suitable for: ages 12 and older.

Before you book

Strobe lighting will be used in the show. For matinee performances, the venue opens 90 minutes before the start time; for evening performances, it opens 105 minutes before the start time. Please arrive 30 minutes before the start time, as latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point. For access bookings, call 0333 009 5399.
