About Moulin Rouge! The Musical

Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre, London is a stage version of Baz Luhrmann’s film. Directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, it features a book by Tony Award winner John Logan, music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Tony Award winner Justin Levine, and choreography by Tony Award winner Sonya Tayeh.

The show is set in a world of splendour and romance, where Bohemians and aristocrats mix in a story built around Truth, Beauty, Freedom and Love. It is presented as a musical mash-up extravaganza with a strong focus on music, movement and theatrical style.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours 45 minutes including interval. Suitable for ages 12 years and older.

Before you book

This production uses strobe lighting. All attendees should arrive by 30 minutes before the start time. Venue doors open 90 minutes before matinees and 105 minutes before evening performances, and latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point.
