About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre in London is set in Hawkins, 1959, before the world turned upside down. The story follows a town with ordinary worries, from Jim Hopper’s car refusing to start to Bob Newby’s sister not taking his radio show seriously, while Joyce Maldonado wants to graduate and leave town.

When new student Henry Creel arrives, his family finds that starting over is not as simple as it seems, and the shadows of the past begin to reach further into the present. The production brings the Stranger Things story back to its beginning.

It is created by a multi-award-winning team and combines theatrical storytelling with stagecraft.

Recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.
