Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins, 1959. The story follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and Joyce Maldonado as everyday life in town is interrupted by the arrival of new student Henry Creel.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production takes audiences back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story. It is a stage production that uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to tell an origin story set before the events of the series.

Running time: approx. 3 hrs including an interval.

Before you book

Age guidance: recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive 30 minutes before the performance. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
