About Stranger Things: The First Shadow

Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins in 1959, before the world turned upside down. It follows young Jim Hopper, Bob Newby, Joyce Maldonado and new student Henry Creel as a fresh start in town begins to unravel.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to take audiences back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story. The show explores how the events in Hawkins may connect to what comes next.

Before you book

Age guidance: Recommended 12+. Under 5s are not permitted, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

Planning your visit: The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time, and you should arrive by 30 minutes before the performance. Latecomers are admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
