Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre is set in Hawkins, 1959, where Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and Joyce Maldonado are dealing with ordinary town life until new student Henry Creel arrives and the past begins to catch up with them.

Brought to life by a multi-award-winning creative team, the production uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to tell a new story that returns to the beginning of the Stranger Things timeline. It has received five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Standard.

Duration: Approx 3 hrs including an interval.

Before you book

Recommended for ages 12 and over. Under 5s are not permitted. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time, and you should arrive 30 minutes before the start time. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
