Stranger Things: The First Shadow is set in Hawkins in 1959, when Jim Hopper, Bob Newby and Joyce Maldonado are navigating everyday problems and a new student, Henry Creel, arrives in town. As Henry’s family tries to settle in, the past begins to catch up with them. The production takes audiences back to the beginning of the Stranger Things story.

Created by a multi-award-winning creative team, the show uses theatrical storytelling and stagecraft to tell a new chapter in the Stranger Things world. It has also received four-star and five-star notices including praise from The Guardian, The Telegraph and The Standard.

Running time: Approx. 3 hrs including an interval.

Before you book

Recommended for ages 12+. Children under 5 are not permitted, and under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. The production contains gunfire audio, loud noises, explosions, haze, smoke, flashing lights and strobe, strong language, and depictions of mental health conditions and disorders.

The venue opens 90 minutes before the start time. Please arrive by 30 minutes before the performance begins. Latecomers will be admitted at a suitable point, which may be the interval.
