About Yamato Drummers

Yamato Drummers return to London in May 2026 with their new production, Hito no Chikara – The Power of Human Strength. YAMATO previously performed in London in 2019 and 2024 with Wings of the Phoenix.

This production centres on taiko drumming and choreography, exploring what remains uniquely human in a world transformed by technology. The performance is built around resilience, passion and the shared heartbeat that binds people together.

YAMATO describe the show as moving between ferocious and delicate sounds, with drumming that is presented as physical energy as well as music.

Duration: 2 hours, including one 20 minute interval.
