One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a stage adaptation of Ken Kesey’s novel by Dale Wasserman, directed by Clint Dyer. Set in a psychiatric facility in the 1970s, it follows Chief Bromden, who has been silent for years, and Randle P. McMurphy, whose arrival unsettles the ward and challenges the rule of Nurse Ratched.
The production centres on how the patients are treated by the system around them, and on what happens when McMurphy’s defiance gives them back a sense of voice and resistance. It stars Aaron Pierre, Giles Terera and Olivia Williams.
This production is suitable for ages 14+. It is staged in the round and there may be moments that are less visible as actors move around the set.
