About One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a stage adaptation of Ken Kesey’s novel, adapted by Dale Wasserman and directed by Clint Dyer. Set in a psychiatric facility in the 1970s, it follows Chief Bromden, who has been silent for years, and Randle P. McMurphy, whose defiance unsettles the ward under Nurse Ratched’s strict control.

The production brings the story of control, resistance and the cost of silence into a new staging, with Aaron Pierre, Giles Terera and Olivia Williams in the cast. It presents the novel’s countercultural themes in a contemporary production that places the audience in the middle of the action.
