Dracula at 85-88 St Martin's Lane, London is Kip Williams’ reimagining of the gothic horror novel, with a single performer taking on all 23 roles. The production is built around Williams’ cine-theatre style and reunites him with the creative team behind The Picture of Dorian Gray.
The story begins in a crumbling castle in the wilderness, where Count Dracula has waited in hiding for centuries. As he emerges and targets a new victim, the production shifts the tale into a fast-moving, contemporary stage experience centred on tension, transformation and horror.
The production has been described by the Financial Times as “an outstanding performance” and by The Telegraph as “raising the stakes for British theatre”.
