Dracula is playing at 85-88 St Martin's Lane, London. Kip Williams’ reimagining of the gothic horror story places Count Dracula in a crumbling castle in the wilderness, where a mysterious presence has been waiting in hiding for centuries. In this production, the acclaimed star of Wicked, Harriet, Genius: Aretha and The Colour Purple performs all 23 roles.
The production has been described by the Financial Times as “an outstanding performance” and by The Telegraph as “raising the stakes for British theatre”. Williams reunites with the creative team behind The Picture of Dorian Gray for a version of Dracula that is presented as theatre in a cinematic style.
As the Count targets a new victim, the story develops into a modern stage retelling of the classic horror tale.
Running time: approximately 1 hour 50 minutes, with no interval.
This production is suitable for ages 12 and over. It contains adult themes, descriptions of violence, theatrical haze, depictions of a medical procedure, needles, theatrical blood, on-screen blood imagery and flashing light effects.
