Cyrano de Bergerac is playing at 85-88 St Martin's Lane, London. Edmond Rostand’s classic story follows Cyrano, a poet, soldier and philosopher who lives by his words and his sword, while hiding doubts about his appearance as Roxane falls for another man.
Following a sold-out, critically acclaimed run with the Royal Shakespeare Company, this production transfers to the West End for a strictly limited season. It is directed by Simon Evans and co-adapted with Debris Stevenson, with the classic text reworked with wit, lyricism and heart.
Reviews have described the production as playful, poignant and profound, as well as hilariously funny and ultimately heartbreaking.
