American hardcore punk band formed in 1979 in Arlington, Virginia. Part of the early Washington, D.C. hardcore scene alongside bands like Minor Threat and Bad Brains, they became known for their high-energy sound and relentless touring. The band’s lineup included brothers Pete and Franz Stahl, bassist Skeeter Thompson, and drummer Kent Stax, with Dave Grohl joining as drummer in 1986.
