The Smile Of Her at Marylebone Theatre brings Academy Award and Emmy winner Christine Lahti’s acclaimed new play to London for a strictly limited run. This autobiographical work follows a woman’s journey from 1950s suburban America to a changing wider world.
Funny, furious and deeply personal, the play explores family mythology, misogyny, ambition, motherhood and the cost of being a “good girl”. Performed by Lahti herself, it presents a direct account of the stories we inherit, the voices we silence and the struggle to reclaim ourselves.
Running time: 90 minutes, no interval. Dates: 10 July to 29 August 2026. Age guidance: 12+
