About The Children
The Children at Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is Lucy Kirkwood’s darkly funny drama about Hazel and Robin, who are trying to keep normal life going after a catastrophe while living on the edge of a radiation exclusion zone. When their old friend Rose arrives, she brings buried memories, old secrets and a proposition that tests loyalties and raises questions about debt to the next generation.
This production marks the 10th anniversary of the play and is directed by Artistic Director Rachel O’Riordan. The cast includes Olivier Award-nominated Meera Syal as Hazel.
