About The Children
The Children at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is Lucy Kirkwood’s darkly funny drama about Hazel and Robin, who are living on the edge of a radiation exclusion zone after a catastrophe. Hazel continues with yoga, Robin makes parsnip wine, and the pair are trying to hold on to normal life when their old friend Rose arrives with memories, buried secrets and a proposition.
Directed by Artistic Director Rachel O’Riordan, this production explores loyalty, survival and debt to the next generation. It stars Olivier Award-nominated Meera Syal as Hazel.
