Relics at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre is Ben Ockrent’s world premiere dark comedy about a family reunion that quickly unravels. Four siblings come together at their recently-deceased mother’s home to divide her belongings, but a long-buried secret forces them to confront what they thought they knew about each other.
The play follows Liv, who wants to force things back to the way they were, Rob, who is trying to keep everyone onside, Michelle, who is no longer willing to carry the family tension, and Jonny, whose return stirs up further conflict. It is directed by award-winning Michael Longhurst.
The production explores family legacies, difficult choices and the compromises that come with growing up.
