Churchill's Urinal at King's Head Theatre is a new comedy by and starring Rosie Holt, with additional material by Stewart Lee and direction by Daniel Clarkson. James Seabright presents the world premiere, which was first seen in a reading at Shedinburgh last year.
Set in 11 Downing Street, the play follows a fearless female Chancellor of the Exchequer as she tries to remove an old urinal from her grace-and-favour en-suite. When it is revealed that Winston Churchill was the first to use it, the situation escalates into a national row over politics, history and a proposed Blue Plaque for the Whitehall washroom.
Rosie Holt is a Chortle award-winner whose alter-ego MP has achieved more than seven million views online, and she has toured two stage shows nationally. Daniel Clarkson previously directed The Crown Live, which sold out at the King’s Head Theatre.
