About

Traditional jazz from the Finnish Zen Master Joyboy Force at Jamboree!!! The 67 x NAKED Finnish Jazz Band recreate the infectiously joyful energy and skilful elegant flair of early jazz, with a special Finno-Urgic flavour.

Since the band formed in 2018 they have been delighting and moving audiences at concerts and jazz festivals across Northern Europe, with the skill and power of their performance and inspiring improvisational skills.

The band features:

Philip Holm (contra bass) - Philip is the call-up bass player for the world renowned Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and is a member of several cutting edge folk and jazz bands in Finland and Scandinavia.

Tomi Kettunen (guitar) - Tomi is one of Finland's top jazz guitarists and the main organiser behind the Helsinki gypsy jazz scene.

Alm Er Gnista (percussion, spoken word poetry and improvised theatre) - Alm Er Gnista is a politician, activist and winner of the 2018 National Swedish poetry slam competition - he mixes improvised jazz with poetry and performance

Jimbino Vegan (clarinet, sax and vocals) - Jimbino Vegan currently lives and works with some of the worlds' best jazz musicians in New Orleans.
