The Phantom of the Opera at 57 Haymarket, London, is Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical about the Phantom, who lives beneath the Paris Opera House and falls in love with Christine Daaé. The production uses Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score alongside scenery and special effects to tell the story.
The musical first opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles. It has since become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time, winning 70 major theatre awards and being seen by over 140 million people worldwide.
Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performances: Monday to Friday at 7.30pm; Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Children under 4 will not be admitted. All guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own in the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket.
You will receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket; print it and bring it on the day. The theatre recommends arriving at least 30 minutes before the performance start time, and you may also need to present valid ID. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
Stalls Row N-S will have the top of the staging obscured by the Royal Circle overhang. Single seats cannot be left in a row when booking.
