The Phantom of the Opera at 57 Haymarket, London, tells the story of the Phantom beneath the Paris Opera House and his love for Christine Daaé. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score, the scenery and the special effects combine to bring the tragic love story to the stage.

The musical first opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles. Since then, it has become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time.

It has won 70 major theatre awards and has been seen by over 140 million people worldwide.

Key facts: Running time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Performances are listed Monday to Friday at 7.30pm, and on Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Before you book

Children under 4 will not be admitted. Anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket. Please print it and bring it on the day, and arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. You may also need to present valid ID.

Please note that Stalls Row N-S will have the top of the staging obscured by the Royal Circle overhang. Single seats cannot be left in a row when booking. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
