About Allegra

Allegra is a heart-warming comedy with music, starring Dame Maureen Lipman in the title role. Written by Peter Quilter and directed and choreographed by Stephen Mear, it follows a woman whose love of singing runs through everyday life.

Allegra bursts into song at home, in the street and even in shops and cafés, while the orchestra sometimes exists only in her imagination and sometimes spills into the real world. The show includes songs such as Singin’ in the Rain, Ain’t No Sunshine, Dream A Little Dream Of Me and Happy Days Are Here Again.

Dame Maureen Lipman is appearing in her first UK tour for 20 years. She is known to many audiences for Coronation Street.
