About

Alt male chorus Chaps Choir invites you to take heart from the power of songs and singing and join them at Grand Junction for this summer show. They will be joined by special guest and song weaver extraordinaire Adam Beattie.

Tickets will be available on the door.

Chaps Choir

Chaps Choir is a large singing gang from London; say goodbye to the male voice choir most would recognise. The group has been sharing its joy-inducing, heart-string pulling repertoire to audiences since 2013. Prepare for pop re-hashes, snowy hunting calls, self-aware pirates and, well, lots of men singing ...

Their voices have filled the Royal Festival Hall, Roundhouse, Union Chapel & other major London venues. Featured at Wilderness & Port Eliot festivals the choir has slowly built a name through its urbane entertaining presentation and unexpected repertoire choices. They've performed live on Saturday night prime time TV, recorded at Abbey Road and been the subject of articles, news pieces & podcasts exploring men's singing & male community.

The choir has released a full length live album as well as numerous singles and video projects, aiding its mission to bring the metropolitan singing chap into the choral melee. Their recordings have been played on 6MUSIC, featured on Radio 4's Soul Music and have gained an international reputation for an alternative approach to male voice singing.

Collaborations with artists & organisations include: Omar, Joe Stilgoe, Samantha Whates, The Spooky Men's Chorale, CALM, Music Venue's Trust & The Choir With No Name.

The choir was founded and is led by singer & choir director Dom Stichbury.

Adam Beattie
Scottish singer-songwriter and finger-style guitarist Adam Beattie combines his roots in traditional melodies with his distinctive voice and narrative lyrics. Fresh off the heels of his critically acclaimed album of "uplifting reveries of love and romantic balladry" (Mojo Magazine), Beattie will play songs from his forthcoming album 'Home Fires Burning', a home-spun epic exploring family and belonging, set to melodies evocative of the fiddle tunes he grew up playing.
