

My Neighbour Totoro at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London’s West End is a stage adaptation of Studio Ghibli’s 1988 animated film. It follows sisters Satsuki and Mei through one summer, telling a story about childhood, imagination and an encounter with a magical world.
The production is a collaboration with Improbable and Nippon TV, brought by the Royal Shakespeare Company with Executive Producer Joe Hisaishi, and adapted by Tom Morton-Smith. It has won six Olivier Awards.

This production is not suitable for children under 6 years of age, including babes in arms. Children under 4 years of age, including babes in arms, will not be admitted into the auditorium. Children must occupy their own seat at all times and be able to sit unaided. All guests aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over, seated with them throughout the visit. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket.
Single seats cannot be left in a row when booking. Younger children and babes in arms are welcome at relaxed performances. The show features puppets, including some large-scale puppets that interact in audience space, themes of an ill parent in hospital, and live music and sound effects that can be loud at times and possibly scary for some younger children.
