

Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre, London, is Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s musical, fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. It opened in London on Saturday 14 December 2024, following a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre.
The show brings Dickens’ story of the boy who asked for more to the stage with its well-known score, including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me. The production is billed as an Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning masterpiece.
Reviews quoted include five stars from The Telegraph, which called it “An undeniable triumph”, and five stars from the Mail on Sunday, which described it as “A whopping great hit… tunes, glorious tunes!”.
