Oliver! at the Gielgud Theatre in London is Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s musical, fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne. It brings Dickens’ story of the boy who asked for more to the stage in a new West End production.

The score includes Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me. Oliver! is the Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning musical, and this production follows a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre.

Produced and revised by Cameron Mackintosh, the show is directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne and co-directed by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy. It is designed by Lez Brotherston, with lighting by Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs, sound by Adam Fisher, video design by George Reeve and music supervision by Graham Hurman.

Key facts: The production opened in London on Saturday 14 December 2024 after a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre.
