

Oliver! is playing at the Gielgud Theatre in London. Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s musical opened after a sold-out season at Chichester Festival Theatre and has been fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne.
The show is based on Dickens’ story of the boy who asked for more, with the score including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah and As Long As He Needs Me. It is described as the Olivier, Tony and Oscar-winning masterpiece.
Produced and revised by Cameron Mackintosh, the production is directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne, with co-direction by Jean-Pierre van der Spuy. Design credits include Lez Brotherston for design, Paule Constable and Ben Jacobs for lighting, Adam Fisher for sound, George Reeve for video, and William David Brohn’s original orchestrations adapted by Stephen Metcalfe.
