Arcadia at Duke of York's Theatre, St. Martin's Lane, London, is Sir Tom Stoppard's play in a production directed by Carrie Cracknell. It transfers to the West End after a critically acclaimed run at The Old Vic.
Set in a country house across two centuries, the story moves between Thomasina Coverly in 1809 and present-day author Hannah Jarvis. As mathematics, nature, the life of Lord Byron and the search for lost knowledge unfold side by side, the play follows the pull between order, disorder, science and romance.
The Duke of York's Theatre is being newly renovated into the round for this production. The run begins on 20 June and is strictly limited to 12 weeks.
