Teeth 'n' Smiles at Duke of York's Theatre, London, is the 50th anniversary revival of David Hare's rebel play. Starring Rebecca Lucy Taylor, it returns to a story set in the aftermath of 1960s counterculture, where a band's youthful hopes of anarchic rebellion begin to fall apart.
The play centres on Maggie Frisby, once the voice of 60s counterculture and now broke and disillusioned. As the night unfolds, she tears through the wreckage fuelled by booze, fury and a voice that refuses to die.
Written by David Hare and featuring original music, Teeth 'n' Smiles is a revival of a play that first set The Royal Court alight 50 years ago.
