About Dark of the Moon
Dark of the Moon at The Arches, London is a new musical about witchcraft, small-town prejudice and love. Set between a rural Appalachian town and the Smoky Mountains, it brings together the human world and the world of witches and warlocks.
The story follows Barbara Allen, a human girl, and John, a curious witch-boy, as they try to build a life together despite pressure from their communities. The score reflects those two worlds through a blend of country/bluegrass and rock.
This production tells a supernatural love story shaped by a deal made “by the dark of the moon”.
