About Dark of the Moon
Dark of the Moon at The Arches, London is a supernatural musical about witchcraft, prejudice and love. It brings together a rural Appalachian town and the mystical world of witches and warlocks from the Smoky Mountains above it.
The story follows Barbara Allen, a human girl, and John, a curious witch-boy, as they fall in love and try to build a life together despite the divide between their communities. The show’s score reflects those two worlds with a blend of country/bluegrass and rock.
This new musical centres on a relationship tested by a deal made by the dark of the moon.
