About Dark of the Moon
Dark of the Moon at The Arches, London is a supernatural new musical about witchcraft, small-town prejudice and love. It follows Barbara Allen, a human girl, and John, a curious witch-boy, as they try to build a life together between a rural Appalachian town and the world of witches and warlocks from the Smoky Mountains.
The score reflects those two settings with a blend of country/bluegrass and rock. The story asks whether their relationship can survive a deal made by the dark of the moon.
