

Dark of the Moon at The Arches, London, is a new musical about witchcraft, prejudice and love. It brings together a rural Appalachian town and the mystical world of witches and warlocks from the Smoky Mountains above it.
The story follows Barbara Allen, a human girl, and John, a curious witch-boy, as they try to build a life together despite the conflict between their communities. Its score reflects those two worlds with a blend of country/bluegrass and rock.
