About Dark of the Moon
Dark of the Moon is a supernatural musical at The Arches. It tells the story of witchcraft, small-town prejudices and love, set between a rural Appalachian town and the mystical world of witches and warlocks from the Smoky Mountains.
The score combines country/bluegrass and rock to reflect those two worlds. Barbara Allen, a human girl, and John, a curious witch-boy, try to build a life together after defying their communities.
The story follows whether their relationship can survive a deal made by the dark of the moon.
Age guidance: 15+.
