The Oresteia at the Bridge Theatre is a contemporary staging centred on a family that wakes up in a Greek myth and cannot seem to find a way out of its fate. It sets a modern family against a story of destiny, giving the production a clear, contemporary frame.
Simon Stone, the Australian theatre and film director known for reworking classic works including Yerma and Phaedra, has made the Bridge Theatre his London home after staging The Lady from the Sea there last year.
