The Oresteia at the Bridge Theatre, 3 Potters Fields Park, London SE1 2SG, is a contemporary staging of a Greek myth. It centres on a modern family that wakes up inside the myth and cannot find a way out of its hellish destiny.
It is directed by Simon Stone, the Australian theatre and film director known for reimagining classic works including Yerma and Phaedra. He returns to the Bridge Theatre after staging The Lady from the Sea, starring Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln, last year.
