The Oresteia at the Bridge Theatre is a contemporary production about a family that wakes up in a Greek myth and cannot seem to find a way out of its destiny. It places a modern family inside a world shaped by myth, with the story unfolding from that starting point.
It is directed by Simon Stone, the acclaimed Australian theatre and film director known for radical reworkings of classic works including Yerma and Phaedra. Stone has also recently staged The Lady from the Sea at the Bridge Theatre, starring Alicia Vikander and Andrew Lincoln.
