About Ivanov at the Bridge Theatre
Ivanov at the Bridge Theatre is Simon Stone's contemporary take on Chekhov's comic drama. Nikolai has forgotten how to be happy, or perhaps he never was. He has had a successful career, is married to the perfect woman and should be heading into mid-life feeling settled, but debts are mounting and his wife's recent unexplained illnesses leave him questioning whether it is burnout or something deeper.
As a party at the Lebedevs' approaches, the play follows Nikolai as he tries to save his marriage, his will to live and his career. It is created by Simon Stone with the same creative team that brought The Lady from the Sea to life.
Key facts: Advised for ages 12+; no one under the age of 5 is permitted within the auditorium.
